The free read, 14 days
What's a real visit, to you?
You set the rule. We count every visit your ads send against it, and send you one line each morning. Nothing to install beyond one line on your site, and no card.
Add this one line to your site
On every page your ads send people to, just before the closing head tag. If someone else looks after your site, forward them the email we have just sent you: it has the same line in it.
One thing to check
How we know a visit came from an ad: the ad platform adds its own mark to the link when somebody clicks. Google Ads does this when auto-tagging is switched on, which is the usual setting: Admin, Account settings, Auto-tagging. Meta, Microsoft, TikTok and LinkedIn add theirs by themselves. If a platform you use adds no mark, its visits are counted as ordinary visits, not paid ones, so tell us and we will show you the one setting to change.
What happens next
The morning after the snippet sees its first visit, you get one line: how many paid visits your ads sent, and how many were real by your definition. The free read runs for 14 days. We took no card, so nothing is charged when it ends, and the counting stops unless you ask us to carry on.
The snippet sets no cookie, reads nothing anybody types into a form, and does not run for visitors whose browser asks not to be tracked. It records which page was landed on, where the visitor came from, the click id the ad platform added, how long the page was on screen, and whether a form or phone link was used.
